The PIE*BP covers a floor space of only 18"x18".
About the same amount as an IV stand. It is only 30" high
and consists of two separate Carts that nestle together.
The entire system stores easily in a closet.
The PIE*BP uses two FDA approved water tanks, with one tank on each Cart. In
the picture below you will see a picture illustrating how the fresh water tank
is filled using a simple siphon method with the water coming from a bathroom laboratory.
|
 |
The fresh water tank has been rolled into
the bathroom and the "Fill System" has been placed
in the laboratory just under the water flow.
Adjustment of the water temperature is performed to body
temperature and the Fill System begins the flow of water
through a tube into the 7 gallon water reservoir.
After filling, this Cart is ready to be positioned next
to the bed for the PIE* procedure. The PIE* procedure is
performed while the individual is in bed. |
 |
It is easy to observe the amount of Stool
that is being removed through the discharge hose.
After a sufficient amount has been removed and the water
is running clear, the procedure comes to an end. The second
Cart is then rolled to the toilet for easy emptying as
shown by this picture. This tank is lined with a disposable
bag that is thrown away after emptying. |
 |
Each procedure uses a disposable
PIE*Pak kit.
Insurance is not only approving the acquisition of the
PIE*BP, they also are approving 15 PIE*Pak kits per month.
This provides an every other day bowel program that is
recommended by Physicians. |
